Memorial Day 2010

I grew up calling this Decoration Day. As a child I didn’t know anyone who was a veteran, although I knew about the father of a school mate who was permanently hospitalized with ‘Shell Shock’ from the First World War. Currently I think every man, woman and child in this country knows a veteran.

One of the movie channels has been running classic WWII movies the last several days and I watched Battle of the Bulge the other evening. I was curious about the Panzer song in the movie and Googled for information about it.
